What we do
We are a family company with 30 years of experience in period and restoration design, bespoke furniture design, build fitting and finishing. Working sustainably with local trades in destination locations. Based in coastal area of Suffolk East Anglia UK, we’ve specialised in coastal anglo-saxon architecture, country estates of ranging time periods and cottages, modernising but maintaining original materials and features across our work. We’ve also worked for a range of clients across the country and Europe with 20 years experience building in Chamonix Valley, formerly working alongside Nikki’s brother who’d moved out to the valley to ski in his late teens and later got into property development at the right time.

Who we are
Charles and Nikki have been working together ever since they married at the age of 20. Charles’ first passion was for music and playing guitar in numerous bands. Nikki’s love for people lead her to Amsterdam to partner in an outreach project. On her return to London to be with Charles, she became Head Chef in a trendy non-profit pop-up restaurant. Charles supported his musician nightlife by working for an exclusive Design and Build company, (the van a big pro for shifting gear) with projects in London and the South. They both absorbed themselves in the London scene and developed a keen eye for the arts and trends.
In 2019 our son Lawrie joined the company to bring a more modern approach to how we work. He’s spent the last 10+ years working as a designer and traveling which has given him a broad eclectic network of artisans and suppliers from hand made fabrics, art and furniture from locations such as Mexico, Brasil and Peru.
Nikki

With over 30 years experience in design and project management, Charles has built his reputation on delivering an exceptional finish, an eye for detail and an ability to smoothly manage trusted teams throughout the UK.

Lawrie
STRATEGY, DESIGN & CREATIVE
From a young age, Lawrie always took a keen interest in design and the business, he began painting murals and designing furniture for Wren Rivers clients in his early teens. Lawrie went on to pursue a career in digital and product design which he did for 10+ years. During that time he was a founding member of a 2017 UK top 20 tech company, leading product, creative and design.
Never abandoning his passion for furniture and interior design, Lawrie is now contributing his knowledge to the family business, whilst expanding his love for tactile, social and environmental design.
